JURUPA VALLEY – On November 29,2017 at 2:05 a.m. Cal Fire Riverside County responded to a commercial fire at a recycling center at the intersection of Wilson Street and Brown Avenue.
Arriving crews located a large timber pile engulfed in fire that could be seen for miles.
Firefighters initiated a heavy attack on the fire and had it contained by 6:30 a.m.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation.

UDPATE 11/29/17 @ 7:43 a.m. – Resources will remain on scene for approximately four hours. Corrected containment time is 6:30 a.m.
** UPDATE 11/29/17 @ 7:26 a.m. – The fire has been contained. ** UPDATE 11/29/17 @ 3:10 a.m. – Multiple large piles of pallets and mulch are on fire inside a wood recycle yard. The piles are approximately 100, 200, and 300 feet tall. The property owner is on scene and assisting with heavy equipment.
** CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters, with the assistance of Riverside City Firefighters, responded to reports of a fire behind a business at the 5000 block of Wilson Street in Jurupa Valley.
Firefighters located a 100 foot x 50 foot pile of heavy timber on fire. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
