Ontario: Large Fire Erupts Through Roof of Two Story Home, Explosions Heard.

City_Seal_4in-x-4in_lightbg.pngJanuary 21, 2017 at approximately 11:15 pm. A two story family residence in Ontario at the 3200 block of Clover Lane was rendered uninhabitable after a fire almost completely destroyed the home.

Initial reports from witnesses described heavy flames erupting from the roof and a roaring sound coming from the inside of the home. The fire was so intense, it caused an explosion that sent debris flying in the air, falling on firefighters who responded to the fire.

The size of the fire prompted a large response from Ontario Fire Department. Crews had the fire extinguished in approximately 30 minutes and no injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. The homeowners weren’t inside the residence when the fire began and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
