The evening of November 13 at about 7:00 pm, a single family residence fully engulfed in flames was reported in the senior community of Cottonwood Estates in San Jacinto on the 300 block of Potrero Street. Three people including animals were inside the home when the fire started.
Neighbors assisted in saving the animals from the fire and of the three residents, only one was injured when he jumped over a wall in an attempt to escape the inferno. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but his injuries were reported to be minor.
